6th Grade Enterprise Village
6th graders apply economics skills from class to run and operate their own businesses.
Enterprise Village is an economic education program that provides a hands-on learning experience for students. 6th graders learn how to use a debit card, keep a checkbook register, apply for a job and work as a team. The layout of Enterprise Village is similar to a shopping mall. During their business day, students work in one of the 20+ businesses, receive paychecks and have the opportunity to be consumers by making purchases throughout the business-sponsored storefronts.
